Today’s protesters don’t compare to those of the 60’s

Here is an interesting article by the Denver Post about protestors and police at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Here’s a quote from the article that sums it up.

“When I saw the tear gas, I split. I don’t need to get beat down,”

I guess today’s protesters just aren’t up to standard like those of the 60’s.  Perhaps they really don’t believe in what they are protesting about and just want to protest to make trouble.

The police in Minneapolis are already conducting pre-convention raids on hippies and other protestors.  I think the police have joined forces with Cartman from South Park.  Will the Republican National Convention be any different?
